Oatmeal Health Nut Cookies
This cookie recipe was handed down to my Mother and then to my from my Grandmother. Whenever she would make these cookies, they would disappear very fast! My young sons love them and I like knowing they are packed with healthy ingredients.
- 1c butter
- 1c sugar
- 1c brown sugar
- 1/2c vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2T vanilla
- 1 1/2c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2c quick oats
- 1/2c chopped walnuts
- 1/2c wheat germ
- 1/2c raisins (can sub dried cranberries or cherries)
Preheat your oven to 350º
Cream the butter and sugars together then gradually add the oil.
Add eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir in your flour, salt and baking soda until moist. Fold in the remaining ingredients.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes
